An alert was received about two traffickers selling a live pangolin in Machazi. The pangolin had been in the possession of the traffickers for over three days and was captured in Machazi-Chiboco, near the Save River.
In collaboration with ANAC and SERNIC, a successful operation was conducted, resulting in the arrest of one of the traffickers in the Manica province, Machaze district, who was in possession of this pangolin. He was subsequently taken to the SERNIC District Directorate in Machaze. The trafficker claimed to have caught the animal while hunting in an area bordering Zimbabwe.
