Successful Operation Rescues Pangolin from Traffickers in Machaze

There was an alert that a live male pangolin weighing 12 kg was in the possession of traffickers in Machaze. The pangolin was originally found in Gaza, but the sellers had traveled from Gaza to Manica to proceed with the sale of the animal. The capture of the pangolin occurred on February 2, 2023.

In a successful operation, conducted in collaboration with ANAC and SERNIC, one trafficker was apprehended. The pangolin has been safely transported to the Chimanimani National Park, ensuring its protection and well-being.
